The 2014 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat show has wrapped up for another year, with more than 36,000 eager boating and water sports enthusiasts making the journey to Auckland’s ASB showground’s on what was an unusually sunny winter weekend. Retailers recorded over $40 million in trade over the action packed four days, selling anything from a $2.6 million luxury launch, to a state of the art FUSION marine stereo combo.

Exhibiters are confident the turnout is a sign of what's to come in the marine industry in New Zealand, with the show suggesting that it the industry as a whole is over the hump and looking forward to an exciting future.

With many of the exhibiters showcasing their latest innovations, products and newest technologies, there was something for everyone to get excited about. FUSION was in attendance with an impressive stand, located in the main boating hall that could be heard from the other side of showground’s. Showcasing the MS-RA205 and UNI-Dock combo, water resistant range of speakers and the FUSION-Link App, visitors were excited about the entertainment possibilities that FUSION provides for a vessel of any size.

“This was another fantastic show for FUSION, experiencing the quality of our True-Marine speakers and stereos which were installed on the majority of the boats on display. This is a testament to the hard work all the FUSION Team has done over the years.” - Glenn Orr, New Zealand General Manager of FUSION Electronics.

If you weren’t in the market for a new boat, there were seminars with expert fishermen Milan and Nathan from the Big Angry Fish TV series and an entire water-fun and safety area for the kids. Jeff, from Outdoors With Jeff was in attendance giving out advice and signatures to all his fans and the FUSION alien mascot was seen hanging from the wrists of many children in attendance.

For a visual recap of the show, FUSION has put together a post show video that will available shortly.
