Having now pulled up anchor and sailed into the sunset, the 2014 Sydney International Boat Show (SIBS) has come to an end. A massive 220 exhibitors showcased their latest and greatest innovations, products, and services, and visitors were given an insider look into the cutting edge of what the marine industry has to offer.

Now all that’s left in Sydney’s Darling Harbour is a lingering excitement, the memory of another fantastic show – and some excellent weather! Domenic Genua, the Marketing and Event Manager, says, “The vibe was great, the lighting was fantastic, and we pulled out all the stops to make the show the best it could be.”

Naturally FUSION played a big part, providing the entertainment, atmosphere, and soundtrack for SIBS.  The FUSION stand featured our industry standard FUSION-Link protocol that showcased their Fusion-Link partners and excited the passing visitors. The friendly FUSION staff demonstrated to eager visitors how it’s not only possible but simple, to control an entire entertainment system right from the helm. Nothing is more user-friendly and powerful than being able to control your on board experience right from the captain’s spot!

Free 15 minute ferry rides between Glebe Island and Darling Harbour made getting around easy. Out on the water there were more than 140 boats anchored down for the visitors to watch and admire.

Overall, exhibiters really kicked it up a notch this year, creating remarkable displays that impressed everyone. FUSION were happy with their presence too, with Chris Soeter, Manager of FUSION Australia, claiming it was “another fantastic SIBS for the team here. We have been moving from strength to strength this year and are excited about what’s happening next.” SIBS clearly has a strong and positive future ahead, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!
