What are True Marine Speakers made of?

FUSION Marine Speakers have a state of the art titanium tweeter creating a much crisper sound than normal tweeters. The central core is designed to strengthen the grille face, while also protecting the high-pass crossover components from the marine elements.

Speaker cones are manufactured from a self-reinforced polypropylene composite. They are then heat pressed to form a lighter, stronger cone, creating greater definition of sound, higher output and greater resistance to the harsh marine environment. The cone material has only recently been used in high end hi-fi speakers, and breaks new boundaries in marine speakers.

They also incorporate a shielded motor structure, removing interference that can affect marine navigation equipment.

The cross-over, magnet and tweeter housing are fully sealed and the cone and surround material is waterproof. The speakers comply with IP65 Waterproof and Dust Standards, as well as ASTM Standards for UV Stability and Salt/Fog Resistance ensuring that the withstand the harsh marine elements
